The Mast Cell Activation Panel considered Tryptase, total Histamine, Cysteinyl-Leukotrienes, Chromogranin A in order to assess whether histamine symptoms may be related to Mast Cell Activation. There are several ways that histamine can contribute to health issues; gut specific levels due to low DAO (see our Histamine Assessment Panel), Mast Cell Activation, Food-Immune reactivity (see our Intestinal Barrier Test which also measures DAO), whether there is an issue with breaking histamine down generally (by measuring activity of histamine decarboxylase which can be assessed on the GENIE), or whether as part of the first phase immune response histamine is being triggered e.g. in chronic inflammatory conditions such as CIRS or when there are cavitations (in which case we can also measure RANTES itself or check CCL5 on the GENIE test).
Analytes: Tryptase, Histamine total, Cysteinyl-Leukotrienes, Chromagranin A
